This is Saturday Mornings
Saturday Mornings is a celebration of the BBC's Saturday morning television programmes that were broadcast between 1976 and 2009, and we've been here on the web in one form or other for the last 20+ years!
Whether you're old enough to remember watching Noel presenting Swap Shop or your childhood was dominated by Dick and Dom's creamy muck muck there's plenty here for everyone to discover.
The 2023 Revision - Coming Soon!
The work on the 2023 revised version of Saturday Mornings continues to progress!
The new version is a complete new build from the bottom up with just the database coming over from this version, although the content will have a considerable update too.
We're also remastering most of the content with publicity cards, media files and archive images all getting an update, as well as adding in a whole pile of new content that's been acquired over the last few years when the existing site has been gently gathering dust!
This has turned into a major project and at the end we'll have a modern, multi-device based site for you all to enjoy.
Watch this space and keep an eye on our Twitter
@satmornings which we'll continue to update with content as the work progresses.
More than Just a Load of Video Clips...
At Saturday Mornings we bring you a whole lot more than just a load of video clips. For the past 20 years we've been delving into the shows' history and tracking down the items connected with them. Here's some of the things you can find... other than the video clips.
Saturday Mornings Plus is where we take a look at some parts of the shows in greater detail, but occasionally we do allow ourselves to wander slightly off subject.
The Saturday Mornings Archive has been built up over a period of many years as we trawl the internet and other places for items related to Saturday Morning television.
Publicity Cards were issued by all programmes, so we've collected as many as we can. From Swap Shop to TMi we've got them all... almost.
It Started With... Swap Shop was broadcast in December 2006 to celebrate the then 30th anniversary of BBC Saturday Morning television. We teamed up with Unique Television to provide a sub site to first promote and then to document this very special programme.
